To boost plestic trade between Indie and IJAE, the government-sponsored Plastics Export
Promotion Council (Plexcancil) on 4 February enounced the signing of a memorandum of
understanding (MOIJ) with A1 Fejer, the arganiers of Ares Plast

Zesmohepatra executive director of Plexconcil, and Nedhal Mohamed, general manager, A1

In coordination with A1 F2jer, Plexconcil aims to work towards its long-term objective of
enhancing exports to the ME region and beyond. A1 Fejer has supported Indian perticipents
for mutual success, The 16th Edition of the biannual AreSPlest, trade fair for the plastics,
petrochemicels, packaging, and rubber industry Will be held from 13 to 15 Decernber 2022
at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The trade was conceptualized under the leadership and
guidance of Sheikh Hesher A1 Maktcumr the section of the ruling family of Dubai.
“The Middle East and especielly IJAE is an important export destination for Indian plastics,”
said Hemant Minach2. “IJAE is among our Tap 3 destinations. India’ exports of plastics to
LIAE in FY 21-22 were valued IJSS E2S millicn while LIAE imports plastics worth IJSS 9.0
billion. India’s share of UAE imports is only 7 9k. However; Indie has the potential to
increase exports to the tune of I,JS$ 5.0 billion,” Mincche said.
India exporters heve experienced much business success and Ares Plast is one of the most
popular trade shows for Indian exporters in the international event calendar for plastics.
Products with good export potential to IJAE include consumer and houseware products of
plastics, plastic films and sheets, and medical items of plestics.
LIAE is located in the Middle East, providing Indian exporters access to surrounding regions
and met-keis in the rest of ME, Eastern Europe, North Africe, West and mcre.
“Indie is a very important market for IJAE and both countries enjoy histcricelly strong trade
ties, said Nadh21 Mchemed. “Our association with Plexcancil has Seen 2 rewarding one for
over a decade, and we are confident that this pertnership will once again be fruitful for
industry growth,” he said,

that the trade fair has beer mastering exhibitors and visitors from all over the globe, with
India, Europe, Teiwen, and Chine being the largest contributors.
“Indie and the IJAE Heve recently signed the bilateral trede expect that will have a significent
impact on both the countries in turns of trade as well as job and opportunities of the Indo
LIAE trade is expected to hit the LJS$ 100-billion mark by 2027. The two countries are also
in talks to settle the non-oil trade in Rupees, and once it occurs into effect, there will be a
significent boost to the trede economy for both countries,” he said.
