Checkpoint Systems buys Rhyguan Plus-330 from FIG

FIG (Flexo Image Graphics) has installed a Rhyguan PLUS-330 digital converting and finishing machine at Dhaka, Bangladesh-based Checkpoint Systems Bangladesh. It is a sister concern of CCL Industry and a fully owned subsidiary of Checkpoint Systems. It delivers RFID, RF, EAS and counterfeiting solutions to various industries.

Gourav Roy, managing director, FIG, remarked: ‘So far, we have installed numerous Rhyguan machines across the length and breadth of Indian subcontinent. And this installation of the Rhyguan Plus-330 at Checkpoint Systems Bangladesh is indeed a new milestone for us. We look forward to more such installations.’

Md. Eftakher Uddin Badol, production manager, Checkpoint Systems Bangladesh, said: ‘We have invested in the Rhyguan Plus-330 from FIG for its multi-functionality and flexibility. We work as an MPS, consolidating and managing diverse tasks for different companies from four different units across Dhaka. We have a staff of around 1000 professionals, who are engaged in providing ALS (apparel labelling solutions), shrink management solutions, merchandise visibility solutions (RFID solutions), and so on for quality conscious customers. To meet their demands for quality outputs, we chose advanced presses and finishing equipment in which the Rhyguan Plus-330 was our preferred choice.’

Checkpoint Systems Bangladesh has chosen the Rhyguan Plus-330 for flawless embellishments on digitally printed tags and labels, produced in duplex mode for applications like color on one side and adhesive monochrome on other. ‘Well, Rhyguan Plus-330 is outstanding in many parameters. Its die-cutting delivers the same look and feel of what we get in traditional die-cut,’ mentioned Md Badol, adding that all such advancements and flexibility of the machine make it unique among others in its class. Rhyguan Plus-330 is engineered to digitally die-cut at a maximum speed of 8m/min for standard jobs.

As Rhyguan Plus-330 is modular in design, users can choose the modules as per their requirements. Each module in the machine has independent frame and electronics. In this respect, even the tension and frame length and the register are independently controlled for each module. So, Rhyguan Plus-330 can be easily upgraded as per the changes in market demands with new modules. This optimal flexibility impressed Checkpoint Systems to choose the machine.

‘We feel privileged to be equipped with this highly modular Rhyguan Plus-330, which we bought for one ultimate goal: efficient and consistent quality label production,’ remarked Md Badol. He further added: ‘This fully servo-driven and excellent tension control Rhyguan Plus-330 converting and finishing machine is user-friendly as its distinguished features like convenient touch-screen user interface on a sliding rail can be positioned wherever wanted.

‘Though Rhyguan Plus-330 is our first converting and finishing machine from FIG at one of our facilities in Dhaka, we had already installed and experienced one at our Chennai CCL plant in India. This is how and why we approached FIG for another one for Dhaka plant, which had just been installed a few weeks ago and we look ahead to fully exploit its prowess,’ concluded Md Badol.

In addition to Rhyguan, FIG is an authorized India distributor of international brands like Mark Andy, Rotoflex, Luster, Kluge, KDS Quantum, Presstek, etc.
